Katherine Beatrice Dixon, 93, of Greenwood, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 21, 2014 in Charleston. She was born February 6, 1921 in Lonoke county Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Leo Dixon and her son-in-law, Bill Walters. She has two daughters, Virginia Dixon Berry and husband Bill of Charleston, Shirley Walters of Greenwood, Five granddaughters; Tawnya Sutherland of DeLand, Florida, Stephanie Young of Greenwood, Sandra Dewey of Greenwood, Sherry Marrier of Pasadena, California, and Jamie Elerin of Laguna Beach, California. She also has ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at First Freewill Baptist Church in Greenwood, with burial at Old Austin Cemetery. Viewing will be 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Young, Marshall Dewey, William Dewey, Jacob Dewey, Bill Berry, Charles Rawe, and John Rawe.
