Gail McConnell Hyde, 75, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in Greenwood. She was retired from J.C. Penney and teaching in the Jenny Lind schools. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ, past chairman of South Sebastian County Heart Association, past Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, an avid Greenwood Bulldog and Arkansas Razorback fan, and enjoyed watching her nephews and great-nephew play for the Razorbacks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Emma McConnell.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22 at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Bedwell and husband, Ronnie of Pocola, Susan Hyde of Fort Smith, and Sarah Rose of Fort Smith; one sister, Nan Bequette of Missouri; five grandchildren, Joanie Henry and husband, Mike, Matt Moser, Eric Bedwell, Joe Rose, and Mary Jo Rose; one great grandchild, Lauren Henry, and several cousins.
Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21 at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, where the family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
