Rosemarie Tramontano

Rosemarie Tramontano, resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, formerly of Rye Brook, New York , passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born on July 9, 1931 in Mount Vernon, New York to Errico and Clotilde (Petrillo) DiMarzo. Rosemarie graduated from A.B. Davis High School.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was the epitome of grace and elegance. She enjoyed travelling the world, playing golf and knitting, and was an avid reader, consuming more than 60 books per year later in her life. Her favorite times were those spent with family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by Frank, her loving husband of almost 70 years; children Sally Patin (Mitch) and Paul Tramontano (Francine); grandchildren Lindsay Gray Morgan (Paul), Michael Gray, Diana and Lexi Tramontano; great-grandson Tripp, the latest light of her life; sisters-in-law Josephine Walsh and Rosemarie Petrone; brother-in-law Robert Tramontano; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Fiore, Phil and Jimmy; sisters, Jenny Santolo, Gea Ciaramelli, Aida Spina, Julia Ruffalo, Yolanda Formicola, Miki Fette and Natalie DiMarzo.

Visitation will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 31 Arch Street in Greenwich on Tuesday, May 30 from 5:00-8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31 at 10 am at St Mary Church located at 178 Greenwich Ave. Greenwich, CT 06830.

Entombment to immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 High Street, Rye Brook, N.Y.
