Born in Stamford, CT on May 24,1923 he was the son of the late Axel E. Larson and Hannah Johnson Larson. He graduated from Stamford High School, class of 1941, then proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WW2, serving on the Destroyer, USS Sutton. Prior to his retirement, he was a long time associate of the Sam Grasso Construction Company in Darien, CT.
Paul was a loving husband of 74 years, a kind and giving father and brother, who first and foremost deeply loved his family, his home, his town, and his country. He was a lover of nature, fond of animals and especially delighted in being a good friend of and to all dogs. As a lifelong baseball enthusiast, he was ever loyal to his team, the New York Yankees.
In addition to his wife of 74 years, Gloria, he is survived by his daughter, Janet Larson Panou (Chris) of San Francisco CA, his sons Jon D. Larson of Los Angeles CA, and Paul G. Larson (Tanya) of Greenwich, CT, one grand daughter Jennifer Panou Soroka (Andrew), and two great grandsons, Lars and Ryan, of whom he was very proud.
He is predeceased by his six brothers and sisters. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to Adopt-a Dog, Inc., The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or The CT Humane Society.
