Eileen Burke

Eileen “Nell” Waterbury Burke of Greenwich, CT passed away peacefully on March 31, 2014 at the age of 99. She was born to Rose Seery and Harrison Waterbury in Greenwich on October 2, 1914. Sister to Harrison Waterbury Jr. (deceased), retired Fire Chief of Cos Cob. Beloved wife of Thomas C. Burke (deceased), retired Deputy Police Chief of Greenwich. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Burke Siemon of Riverside, Thomas C. Burke Jr. and wife Kathleen of Cos Cob, Brian H. Burke and wife Bonnie of Madison, CT, former son in law Stephen A. McCabe of Rye, NY, former daughter in law Joan Chiapetta Burke of Rowayton, CT, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; niece Eileen W. Freebairn of Bethel, CT, nephew Harrison Waterbury and his wife Geraldine of Sandy Hook, CT and their families. A wake will be held on Wed. April 2 from 4 to 8pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home on Arch Street in Greenwich. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 3 at 11am at St. Agnes Church at 247 Stanwich Road in Greenwich.
