Vicki Reynolds Putnam Carter, age 76, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023. Vicki was born in Dillon, South Carolina to Dora Hyatt Eppes and Charles Benjamin Reynolds.
Vicki was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, LA. She was inducted into the SC Beach Shaggers Hall of Fame in 1997, the Beach Living Legends in 1997, the National Living Legends of Dance in 2012, and the Greenville Area Shaggers Hall of Fame in 2013. She was a co-founder of the Camp Kemo Benefit fundraiser.
Vicki is survived by her sister Patsy Reynolds Chitwood (Terry), her sister Peggy Eppes Roper (Carlos), her sister Christy Reynolds Pettigrew (Doug) and her brother Richard Eppes (Emma). She also leaves behind six nieces and six nephews to cherish her memory.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father Walter Eppes.
A visitation for Vicki will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Parisview Baptist Church, 100 Bud Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29617, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Another memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Fat Harold's Beach Club, 212 Main St, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
