Stanley was the son of the late Cleo and Bonnie Hopkins of Travelers Rest, South Carolina. He graduated from Travelers Rest High School in 1968 followed by Clemson University in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in political science. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in education and retired from a career as a high school educator and football coach.
Stanley was the loving husband of the late Linda Williams Hopkins for 46 years. He is survived by his son, Stanley Cade Hopkins and wife, Sara; three wonderful grandchildren, Libby, Avery, and Bailey Hopkins, who were the light of his life; and sister, Penny Mullinax.
Stanley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM on Sunday, December 22, 2024 in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC.
