Shirley Davis Ellison, 96, went to be with the Lord and her husband of 72 years John Wayne Ellison, Jr. on March 23, 2021. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Ann Kinney (Dennis), Carol Hartman (Doug) and Connie Polinselli (Stephen); eight grandchildren: and 16 great grandchildren. Other family members include her brother James Donald Davis (Margie), sister-in-law Jacqueline Davis and many nieces and nephews.
She was born January 27, 1925 in Detroit Michigan to Clinton and Delilah Davis. She met her future husband, John Wayne Ellison, Jr. while both were working for General Motors in Detroit, MI. They were married on December 28, 1946 in Detroit, MI. Throughout her life she loved her family, gardening, cooking and her church.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
