Born in Avery County North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Gwyn and surviving Ginny Gwyn.
Phyllis was a homemaker and dedicated her life to being a mom and grandmother.
Phyllis was survived by two daughters, Treasa Norton and Kimberly Hamer; six grandchildren; Autumn McMillan, Tiffonie Morris, Jessica Morris, Ginny Norton, and Casey Norton. Seven Great grandchildren; Drayke Davis, Gage Davis, Brynn Moody, Trent Davis, Gracie Edwards, Carsyn Cole, and Braxton Katsamperis.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Morris; one sister, Marylin Hicks and one brother Roy Gwyn.
A visitation will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at The Mackey Mortuary in Greenville S.C. with a funeral service following at 2pm.
