Nora Dixon, beloved wife of Hoyle Dixon for 75 years, passed peacefully on January 1, 2016 in her 96th year. She was born in Phoenix, MO to the late Bert Claypool and Lille Smith Claypool.
Nora graduated from Walnut Grove High School and worked in retail. She was of the Baptist faith. Prior to relocating to SC Mr. and Mrs. Dixon made their home in Coalinga, CA where they were members of Grace Baptist Church and the Senior Center.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her daughters, Janet Stevens (Bob) of Greer and Jean Bender (Richard) of Marana, AZ; granddaughter, Jayme Burns (Bob) of Knoxville, TN; great granddaughter, Maddy; and great grandson, Charlie. She was preceded by a sister, Anna Belle Fuller.
Funeral service Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary with a reception following. Private burial in Graceland East Memorial Park.
