Miss Martha Ann Brown of Greer, SC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Born May 24, 1916 to the late Tweetie Smith Brown and James Manning Brown, she was predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Hazel and Archie Mahaffey and Ruby and Robert Hipps; and her brothers and their wives, James “Bud” and Minnie Mae Brown and Russell and Sara Brown. She was cherished by all her family and is survived by her nieces and nephews: Susan Brown Jones, Nancy Brown Edwards, William “Bill” Mahaffey, Henry and Freeman Hipps, and their children and grandchildren.
Miss Brown retired from Carisbrook Industries after 41 years of service and was a long time member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
A funeral service for Miss Brown will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 26,2017 at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
