Larry Robert Bell

Larry Robert Bell, 72, of Greer passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 in his sleep at home with his beloved wife, Loretta J. Bell, by his side. Larry was born in Greenville, SC to the late Robert P. Bell, Jr. and Ruby Lee Mauldin Bell. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, dedicated husband and father, and a fun-loving joyful grandfather. He was a straightforward, honest, and humble man, always quietly serving those around him without complaint. Most touching was his tender heart that earnestly sought to know and love his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church of Greenville, SC. He is survived by his wife, Loretta, and his daughters Leslie Bell and Alison Taylor, his son-in-law Shannon Taylor, and his beloved grandsons, Ethan and Jonathan Taylor. The memorial service celebrating Larry’s homegoing will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Mackey Mortuary Memorial Chapel on Century Drive. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:45 AM.

A private family burial with military honors will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Logos Theatre, a division of The Academy of Arts of Taylors, SC.
