John Esper Hall

John served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of Lander University and North Greenville University.

John retired after 35 years of service from Canal Insurance and was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church.

John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Merita (Rita) Barrett Hall; his daughter Kayla Hall Sloan (John); and his son John Esper Hall Jr. (Sherry); his brother Joe Curtis Hall; his grandchildren John L. Sloan III (Trey) (Marley), April Bayne (Tyson), Katie Sesit (Dane), Elaine Sloan (David Pruett), John W. Sloan (Jocelyn); his great grandchildren Mattie Sloan, Emma Sloan, Lindsay Pruett, Bennett Burkett, Penelope Sesit and Liam Sloan.

John was preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Bertha Hall; his brother W. Garnett Hall and his sister Mary Elizabeth Allen.

A chapel service for John will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
