Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Cecil E. Foster, Sr. and Anna Louise Foster. He was a 1959 graduate of Greenville High. Jackie retired in 1996 after 37 years in the printing industry. Jackie adored his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his Clemson Tigers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Strutton.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret Ann Foster; three children, Jody Trammell (Michael), Renee Sherbert (Harold), and Jason Foster; a brother, C. Everett Foster, Jr.; a sister, Dot Freeman; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 11am Saturday, July 29, 2017 at The Mackey Mortuary with a funeral service following at 12pm in the chapel.
Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville, or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children of Greenville.
