Jack attended Clemson University and served in the United States Army National Guard.
Until his retirement, Jack was a self employed commercial wallcovering specialist.
Jack enjoyed many outdoor activities including; canoeing, whitewater rafting, hiking and spending time at the beach. Jack also loved his Clemson Tigers.
Jack is survived by his partner and caregiver, Ginger Griffin.
Also surviving are children;Trey Goodwin (wife Kathleen), Lynn Gambrell (husband Todd) and Carole Goodwin. In addition; five granddaughters, two grandsons, four great grandchildren and two brothers; Larry Goodwin (Jessica) and Otis Goodwin are left to cherish Jack's memories.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; Curtis and Elva Goodwin and wife and mother of Jack's children, Beth Goodwin.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jack will be held on Tuesday October 20, 2020 at 2:00pm in The Chapel at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville SC 29609.
A Visitation with Jack's family will follow the service.
