Gladys Reeves Potter, daughter of Eva Lucille Singleton Reeves and John Clarence Reeves, died Monday, July 30, at age 90 at Carlyle Senior Care in Fountain Inn, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born and raised in Honea Path, SC, Gladys worked 26 years for Medshore Ambulance, where she dedicated herself until her retirement. Gladys loved her family, her work, working with plants and being outdoors.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Potter Brown of Simpsonville, SC; her sons, John Reeves Potter of Sunrise, FL and Ira H. Potter III of Land O’ Lakes, FL; two grandchildren, whom she adored, Jake P. Potter and Hailey N. Potter, both of Sunrise, FL; two sisters, Jean Dixon of Anderson, and Mary Clardy of Greenville; and brother, Bobby Reeves of Greenville.
Services will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615, with a receiving of friends to follow in the Fellowship Hall. A private burial will follow at a later date at Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Belton, SC.
The family would like to thank the staff at Carlyle Senior Care in Fountain Inn and the The Lutheran Hospice Staff for their special love and care. A very special thank you to Greg and Bunny Shore and the entire MedShore Ambulance staff for their love and devotion to "Ms. G".
