March 23, 1950 to February 19, 2022
Deborah Jordan Crask, 71, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away on February 19, 2022.
Debbie was born in Greenville, SC on March 23, 1950, the daughter of the late Bill and Hester Jordan. She grew up with two sisters (Phyllis and Lucia) and one brother (Billy), surrounded by love and laughter. She graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1968 and attended Gardner-Webb College. Debbie naturally gravitated towards customer-facing opportunities, where her love of people and her outgoing personality allowed her to flourish in all of her endeavors.
Debbie truly lived life to the fullest. She took great pleasure in every day moments- sitting on her screened porch every afternoon with the love of her life, singing Adele in the kitchen, baking in the kitchen with her grandkids. She loved to travel and experience different cultures- over the course of her life she traveled the world and particularly fell in love with Africa. She had a servant heart, giving of her time and talents to the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville, where she was actively involved in the Table of Grace ministry. From the time she was a young child Debbie loved animals and when at home she always had a beloved dog right by her side. She loved her family. She was happiest being able to sit in a room surrounded by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, and her siblings. We are all blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her loving husband Melvin Crask; her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Bob Whelan of Birmingham, AL; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Jessica Fowler of Coppell, TX; and son Jordan Fowler of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren (Austin, Isabella, Jacob, Kathryn, Emma, and Samantha); and a large extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday prior to the service from 12:30-2:00pm.
