David Michael Sexton, age 65, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Born and raised in Greenville, to parents Hiram Franklin Sexton and Betty Ernestine Walters, David later attended Clemson University, where he met his wife of 38 years, Karen Elias Sexton.
After moving to Columbia, having two children, Rebecca (Becky) Sexton and James Sexton, David and family later moved to Six Mile, SC. There, David began working with Gregory Pest Solutions, based out of Greenville. David was with Gregory for over 14 years, for many working as Technical Director. He received his BCE and continued helping Gregory as a consultant even after leaving due to health reasons.
David was passionate about the outdoors, fond of hunting and fishing, and of especially traditional archery. He had held, since childhood, an avid interest in planes and aviation.
David is survived by his wife, Karen, and his children, Becky and James, and many nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held by the family on Saturday, August 24. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Covenant House [Time Square Station, P.O. Box 731, New York, NY 10108-0900] in memory of David Sexton.
