Clyde M Ross, Jr (Mickey) of Taylors, SC passed away on August 28, 2020. Born and raised in Greenville, he graduated from Greenville High School in 1963 and Anderson College and Tennessee Wesleyan University.
He was married to Rita Cason Ross for 51 years. He is survived by her; a son Mike, daughter-in-law Sheila, and two step-grandsons Jeffrey and Jeremy; and a son Casey, a daughter-in-law Julie, and three grandchildren Bennett, Canon, and Teague.
He spent his career working as an Industrial Engineer in SC and GA. After retiring, he worked at Ace Hardware in Taylors. He spent 25 years officiating high school football and also officiated and umpired kids and small college football and baseball.
The family would like to thank Dr. Phillip Edmonds at Pelham Family Practice, Dr. Lisa Naylor at The Center For Successful Aging, Bruce Meyer and his staff at Always Best Care, and Open Arms Hospice.
A private family celebration will be held at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
