Carolyn Giles

Mrs. Giles spent many years as a beloved piano teacher to countless children and adults within the community. She also served as the church secretary for East Park Baptist church for well over 20 years. During this time, Mrs. Giles served as a pianist at her home church, Central Baptist Church, until the church closed in 2002. After joining Earle Street Baptist Church, she became actively involved in the church choir. Music was a major part of Mrs. Giles‘ life and she found great joy and sharing this love with others.

Mrs. Giles can be remembered as a petite figure with a big, feisty personality. She loved gardening and lived for spring time when she could be outside in her backyard. Her daughter often teased her as being the one to give Better Homes and Gardens a run for their money.

Mrs. Giles is survived by her daughter, Angela Giles Knight and husband Larry Ball. She was a proud grandmother to three grand children and one great grandchild; Graycin, Connor, Lily, and Ryland. She will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Services will be at 3:00. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Carolyn Giles.
