Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Gary Downey and the late Selina Coker Downey.
Barbara was a Publicist and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Tommy Hightower; children, Ethan Hightower, Logan Hightower, Marco Hightower and Duncan Hightower all of Taylors; father, Gary Downey and grandson Remington Hansen. She is preceded in death by her mother Selina Downey.
The family will receive friend’s Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 11am to 12:30pm at the home of Gary Downey, 103 Mayflower St., Taylors, 29687.
The family held a private memorial in honor of Barbara.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
