Marilyn was born January 16, 1945, in Darke County to the late Carl E. & Mary K. (Kunkle) Birt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ray Weider on December 31, 2020, whom she married October 3, 1970; and brother-in-law, Rev. Gregory Errgong Weider.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Rae Lynn Burns of Greenville; granddaughters, Hayley Burns of Greenville and Paige Burns of Greenville; great grandchildren, Kali Rae Callihan and Axel Douglas Callihan; sister & brother-in-law, Doris & Ed Jackem of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Marilyn Buckloh of Medina; nieces, Nicole Jackem, Lisa Buckloh, Jennifer Buckloh and Megan Errgong Weider; nephews, Christopher Jackem and Matthew Jackem; great nieces, Naomi Roberts, Stella Roberts and Goldie Roberts; and a great nephew, Patrick Rooney.
Marilyn was a secretary for American Aggregates, later Hunt Marchal Retirement Concepts of Greenville and caregiver to her late husband. She was a longtime member and organist at Ansonia First Church of God and was currently attending Greenville Missionary Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn enjoyed studying the Bible, doing word searches, puzzles and playing the piano and organ.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
