Daniel was born December 6, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Clarence Eugene & Dorthea Mae (Wogaman) Weaver. In addition to his parents, Daniel was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret C. (Lackens) Weaver on April 20, 2007, whom he married June 16, 1956.
Daniel is survived by his children, Carol & Blair Jackson of Troy, Betsy & Gary Smith of Troy, Jenny Hausfeld of Troy and Paul & Pam Weaver of Greenville; grandchildren, Bill, Elizabeth & Sunny, Amber, Caitlin and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Molly, Grafton and Ethan; brother & sister-in-law, David & Carol Weaver of Midland, Michigan; nephew, Christopher Weaver of Norman, Oklahoma; niece, Catherine Weaver & Michael Mosser of Austin Texas; and great-niece, Annika Mosser of Austin, Texas.
Daniel served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Daniel owned and operated Weaver’s Bike and Hobbies in Greenville for over 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville. Daniel was a founding member of the Darke County Aeromodeler Association. He was an avid woodworker and built the family cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he loved to fish, spend time outdoors, and have family and friends visit. Daniel was an active supporter and volunteer at Garst Museum in Greenville.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. A private funeral will be held with Rev. Barbara Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church 202 West 4th St. Greenville, OH 45331 or the Garst Museum 205 North Broadway Greenville, OH 45331 in Daniel’s memory.
