John Wayne Wood

John Wayne Wood, 77, of Greensburg passed away on October 13, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1946 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Fred and Mary Etta Moore Wood. John attended Sandusky, Sandcreek and Jackson High Schools. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during Vietnam. On April 29, 1972 he married Nancy Jean Konzelmann and together they have three daughters: Sheryl, Ferol and Patricia. John worked at Assembler American Manufacturing for 17 years retiring in 1989. He loved the outdoors, his Great Grandchildren and coin collecting. Survivors include: Wife, Nancy Wood; Daughters, Sheryl Stevens, Ferol (Eric) Lininger and Patricia (Shawn) McDougald; Grandchildren, Dustin (Candice) Baker, Chelsea (Dylan) Wells, Shelby McDougald, Andrea McDougald and Kenny Lininger; Great Grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Connor Baker, Braydon Baker, Lanie Wells and Mason Baker; Brothers, Lonnie Spillman and Harold Spillman; and Sisters, Darlene Haley, Velma Kammon and Donna Spillman. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Great Grandson, John Baker; Brothers, Larry Moore and Hubert Wood; and Sister, Phyliss Spillman. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm. Rev.
