William Oscar Presnell

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Family visitation will be held prior to the service; beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Bill was born in Davie County to the late Oscar and Sallie Gabard Presnell. He retired from Cone Mills after more than forty years of service in maintenance. He was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist church where he served as church Treasurer and as a Deacon.

He enjoyed woodwork and carpentry, plumbing and electronics. He liked to build things. He was dearly loved by his family, church, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Leona Mitchell Presnell; granddaughter Annette Ferguson; sister, Kathleen “Sis” Roberts; brothers, Charles “Buck” Presnell, Samuel “John” Presnell, Marshall “Honey” Presnell and Virgil “Hoot” Presnell.

He is survived by his children, Deloris (Robert) Ingold of Browns Summit, Judy (George) Nolen of Danville, VA and Charles Presnell of Browns Summit; grandchildren, Randy Ingold, Rusty Ingold, Spencer Nolen; great grandchildren, Brittany Ingold, Brooke White, Caroline Ingold, Emily Ingold, Buddy Nolen, Morgan Nolen, and Carson Nolen; great great grandchild, Kinslee White; sister, Betty Jarvis and brother, Otis Presnell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reedy Fork Baptist Church, 4709 Yanceyville Road Browns Summit, NC 27214 in memory of William O. “Bill” Presnell.
