It's been a year since we lost Bill, not a day goes by that I don't miss this man. I miss his laughter and constant smile. We miss you greatly Bill. Love, Missy

I always looked forward to Bill coming int the branch to tell us about his trips to Cherokee. I would always hope that he had "Big Money" to deposit that day! We would discuss anything from banking to what was going on in my life and my son's life. Bill had a natural concern for me and I know it was real. I will miss his words of encouragement and I thank him for his influence! You are blessed to have had a man such as Bill in your lives and I would only hope that my son becomes a man of his intergrity! God Bless You All!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Bill was always a bright spot in my day when he came into my office, and I appreciated the confidence he showed in me. That confidence was returned when he was my personal HVAC expert!  He never failed to give me excellent advice and service.  He went out of his way to communicate options and best recommendations.  I so appreciated that.  I think Bill really loved his life and all that came with it.  He was a gentleman and a friend, and I know he will be missed by many.

Aunt Barbara, Gerri, Victor, Leigh Ann, Eddie and extended family - we lost a great man this past week. He is going to be extremely missed by everyone. He was always happy everytime I saw him, there was always a twinkle in his eyes like he was up to mischief. I'm going to miss his constant picking when he would walk through the back door for the cook-outs. My favorite memory of him was from last Labor Day when he reached across the kitchen table and swipped a co-workers left-over piece of Uncle Blandy's coconut cake and started eating it and jumped right in picking at her for leaving it sitting there for someone to just take it. So he took it. We laughed about it for hours afterwards because it was so shocking and out of character for the Bill that I had grown up knowing. I will miss him greatly, but one day we will all see him again. I love you all very much.

My heart and prayers go out to the Andrews family in their time of loss. I first met Bill in 1976 when I came to Greensboro as the Chief Mechanical Inspector and he was working at McBain and Brown Heating and AC. I will always remember a man who had christian values and a warm smile for everyone he met. 
I know Bill will be missed by his family and friends, but we know that he is now resting with his savior.

I worked with Bill for the last 6 months and learned more than I ever thought I would from someone in such a short time.  He was a man who was honest and told you what he thought even if it meant being brutally honest.  He was a gentleman and a wonderful man.  His joking around and cutting up at the office made the day go by quicker.  He always told me that I could never be as perfect as he was and that he never made mistakes.  Not long before he got sick, I wrote a proposal for him and it had no mistakes and he laughed and said that I was getting close to perfection like him...it was the best compliment I could have gotten.  He was a joy to have around and will be missed very much!  I pray for God's peace for his family and that they find strength to carry on the same way Bill would if he were the one left behind.  I am a better person having know him!

Bill was a kind of man you were happy to see coming towards you. you know a smile and a few kind words were coming your way. He was a great man quick to listen, an offer you advise if you asked for it. when i get to heaven he will be there waiting on us. Rest in peace my uncle and friend

We first met you and Bill several years ago when we were privileged to bowl with you each week, and although our bowling balls are now stored in the attic collecting dust, the memories of the fun and laughter we shared each Tuesday night will remain in our hearts forever.  Please know that we are praying for you and your family during this time.  We will always remember Bill as a kind, gentle and fun-loving man.  He touched our lives and made us richer, and for that we are grateful.

Dear Barbara and family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Bill was a truly wonderful man, and so there will be no denying the void that his passing will leave in your lives. But the memories of a man who was always up, always positive, always smiling, always living life to the fullest should remind all of us to be that same light to others. His legacy is love.  I doubt that anyone who knew Bill was not a better person for having met him. I know I was. God bless you all and may you feel His peace always.

I met Billy Andrews when we both were in the first grade. We came to blows over a girl named Peggy Lindley. Since neither Bill nor I could delare ourself a winner of the fight, we decided to become friends and have been throughout both our lives.

Although our lives took seperate routes in business, we always kept in touch and I have always considered him very much my friend. We used to talk by phone and I regret I did not take the time to follow that unction I had for the past three months to call and talk to him. 

May God rest his soul and comfort his family. He will be missed by many.

When a person such as Bill passes on, the world truly loses a bit of its light.

"Uncle Bill" has always meant so much to me.  He was always kind and loving and I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with him.  I remember the big family get togethers at 'Mommy' and 'Poppy's as Eddie, Marty, Deborah, Rosemary, and I romped and played (as much as "Big Mommy" would allow).  I always looked forward to seeing Bill there, or when he would just stop by our house to visit.  He was so consistent through the years in his loving kindness.  I love him and will miss him.  I pray that God takes care of my special uncle, until we meet again, and that He comfort everyone in this time of our loss.
