A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Westminster Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
She was born to the late Gentry and Nernie Roberts, March 12, 1925, in Danville, Virginia. She was a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School. Vivian took pride in being a dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of College Place United Methodist Church where she married her husband of 63 years, the late Charles Earnhardt. Vivian spoke fondly of her work at Earnhardt Optical, which she and Charlie owned together for many years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and the satisfaction of a good bargain. Whether it be in her neighborhood or the grocery store, Vivian’s talkative and loving nature allowed her to make friendships everywhere.
Vivian was preceded in death by her son Bradley and her husband Charles.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Lou Eure of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Louise Spence (Royall III) of Greensboro; son, Jeff Earnhardt of Delray Beach, FL; grandson, Royall Spence IV (Jessica) of Greensboro; and great granddaughter, Autumn Spence.
