On Monday, September 23, 2024, Heaven gained a beloved angel, Tracy Ramirez Williams. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Born on April 11, 1983, in Richmond County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Melinda Verhaeghe and Roy Smith, and was lovingly raised by her father, William Ramirez.
In 2002, Tracy dedicated her life to the Lord, and in 2003, she married her high school sweetheart, Alvis Williams. Together, they built a life grounded in love and faith, with God at the center of their marriage. Tracy and Alvis were blessed with two children, Hailey and Travis Williams, who were the light of her life.
A devoted member of Purpose House in Greensboro, NC, Tracy served in numerous ministries, including the dance, women’s, and youth ministries. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided her in all that she did. Beyond her commitment to the church, Tracy was a passionate entrepreneur. She founded Williams Electronic Billing Services Inc., dedicated to assisting healthcare providers with administrative and billing needs. She also co-founded Pathfinders Resources Inc., helping youth and families find direction and purpose in their lives.
Tracy’s zest for life was evident in her many passions. She had a love for crafts and a gift for decorating, especially during the holidays. She cherished time spent traveling with her loved ones and shared a special bond with her English bulldog, Myles, whom she adored as more than just a pet, but a true companion. A natural teacher and mentor, Tracy was admired for her ability to uplift and inspire others. Her generosity and selflessness touched countless lives, as she always put the needs of others before her own.
Tracy’s memory will be lovingly cherished by her husband, Alvis Williams; her children, Hailey and Travis Williams; her father, William Ramirez (Stacey); her sister, Tammy Ramirez; her brother, Willie Ramirez (Stephanie); and her close family friends, Kevin, Stephanie, Kenneth, and Kevin “KJ” Brevard. She is also survived by her grandmother, Patsy Smith; her nephews and niece, Les Davis, Thomas Terry IV, and Emma Grae Ramirez; her cousins, Lisa Vanderpool (Willie) and Kim Gerald (Jeff); and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tracy’s warmth, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Tracy was a beacon of light and strength, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM, on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 507 Balboa St., Greensboro, NC.
