In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Taylor, her sisters, Edna Lawson, Ruby Lawson, Mary Howard and Nellie Dancy. Left to cherish her precious memories are her three girls, Gail Hayworth (Mike), June Stephens and Patti Foy (Wilson); three grandchildren, Dustin Benfield, Mark James (Markie) and Will Foy; great grandchildren, Dresden James and Olivia Benfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Thelma was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in High Point and was active in the Methodist Women’s Morning Circle. She was a faithful volunteer with Meals on Wheels for many years. Our mother lived her life with a focus on Christ and unwavering faith. She was the epitome of grace and kindness and anyone who was fortunate to know her, loved her.
A service to celebrate the life of this wonderful mother, memaw, aunt and friend will be held at 2:00 p.m on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel officiated by the Reverend Timothy James. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Following the service, there will be a private family entombment committal service at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Thelma's memory to Hospice of Rutherford County, Inc., 374 Hudlow Rd., Forest City, NC 28043
