Terry Mark Charles

A memorial service to celebrate Terry’s life, will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Terry was born on November 22, 1963 in Charlotte, NC. He drove a school bus in high school, enjoyed playing the drums and was a Truck Driver for almost 39 years. Terry never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor, which probably explains why his favorite movie was, Smokey and The Bandit. Terry was a loving a devoted partner, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Charles.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life-partner of 18 years, Cynthia Branson, of Browns Summit; his daughters, Brittany Charles of Browns Summit and Melissa Charles of Siler City; mother and step-father, Norma and Baxter Smith of Greensboro; sister, Lisa Austin (Marty) of Greensboro; brother, Robby Charles (Barbara) of Summerfield; nieces, Ashlyn and Lauren Austin; nephew, Scottie Dinkins; and other extended family and friends.
