Sally Swain Mull

Born on September 1, 1933 in Asheville, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances Swain. Sally attended Lee H. Edwards High School. Following high school, Sally attended and graduated from Asheville Biltmore College where she met her husband and later married him on November 21, 1953. She was a member of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church and liked to travel, play golf, play bridge and gardening. She volunteered at her children’s schools and also volunteered with the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, David Swain and Bill Swain.

Sally is survived by her husband Vernon Mull; children, John Mull (Kathy), Verna Morgan (Reed) and Larry Mull (Amy); grandchildren, Michael Mull (Lyndsey), Matthew Mull (Mary Michael), Robert Fricke (Lindsey), Carter Mull, Sarah Campbell (Ryan), Charlie Mull and Aveline Mull; great grandchildren, Olivia Mull, Avery Mull, Harper Fricke, Tanner Mull, Beckett Fricke and AP Mull; Brother, Joe Swain; and numerous other family members.

A celebration of life service for Sally will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local SPCA.
