Ronald Eugene Seawell

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407, with Rex Church, officiating. Ronald will be laid to rest next to his wife, immediately following the service in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the funeral from 12:00 p.m. until service time, at the funeral home.

Born in Greensboro, on November 16, 1933, to the late Joseph Tracy Seawell, Sr. and Lula Pennington Seawell, Ronald was of the Christian (Baptist) faith. He retired from Carolina Steel Corporation as a Crane Operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Tar Heels and playing guitar. Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Adele Weaver Seawell; a son, David Eugene Seawell; brother, J.T. Seawell, Jr.; and sisters, Lois Maness, Tharon Seawell and Iris Seawell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Tracy Seawell (Evalin) and Lori Seawell (Kevin Alley); daughter-in-law, Tonya Seawell; grandchildren, Scott Robertson, Michael Robertson (Brittany), Brooke Robertson, Ronnie Seawell, II (Emily), Cori Seawell (Josh),Taylor Seawell and James Cox, III (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Jayden Robertson, Zoey Robertson, Greyson Robertson, Jackson Brittan, Ella Seawell, Charlie Seawell, Elizabeth Seawell, Kane Lohr, Austin Lohr, Charlotte Carter-Taylor and J. Cox, III; and other extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Marty Lewis and Drew Jones from Comfort Keeper's for their assistance with Ronald's in-home care.
