Robert Alan Draper Sr.

Mr. Robert Alan Draper, Sr., 92, a resident of Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point died December 1, 2010. Mr. Draper was born April 26, 1918 in New Haven, CT. a son of James Leon Draper, Sr. and Marian Coine Draper. He attended the University of Connecticut and retired as an Industrial Sales Representative with Coates and Clark of North America. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army. Mr. Draper was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

On June 13, 1945 he was married to the former Irene Elizabeth Kowinski who preceded him in death on May 7, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James L. Draper, Jr.

Surviving are two sons, Father Andrew Draper, T.O.R. of Mocksville, David R. Draper and wife Jean of Mechanicsville, VA and three grandchildren, Jennifer A. Herman, Robert Alan Draper, III and Whitley Reynolds Draper.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Pennybyrn at Maryfield with Father Andrew Draper, T.O.R. officiating. Inurnment will follow in Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
