Mrs. Lenna Pearl Baker, 87, a resident of Kernersville and a former resident of Greensboro died Saturday March 30, 2013 at the Kernersville Medical Center. Mrs. Baker was born September 28, 1925 in High Point, the daughter of Wilbur Joseph and Ola Estelle Faulkenberry Linker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Frances “Pamp” Vinson, Mae Shropshire and one brother, Luther Jackson Linker.
On Decemebr 1, 1945 she was married to Arthur Sheldon Baker in Greensboro who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Janet Ruth Taylor and husband Ken of Oak Ridge; two sons, David Sheldon Baker and wife Kitty of Greensboro, Kenneth Arthur Baker and wife Kim of Dover, DE; one brother, Wilbur J. Linker and wife Doris of Greensboro; grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn Anderson Lyons and husband Justin, David Kristopher Baker, Gregory Daniel Baker, Alexis Myers and great grandchildren, Phoenix Daniel Baker, Grayson Michael Lyons and Macy Sheldon Lyons.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial gifts can be made to the Alzheimers Association, Western NC Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28219
