Mrs. Patsy Ann Robinson, 81 of Greensboro, NC, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Parkwood Village, in Wilson, NC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, in the Lineberry Center at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro. The family will come back to the Lineberry Center for a repast.
Patsy was born December 24, 1942, in Shelby, NC; daughter of the late Paul and Marie Boyce. At the age of 20 she married her husband Wendell Wilkie Robinson April 8, 1963 in Elkton, MD. After their union they had 2 sons and 2 daughters. She received her nursing and respiratory certificates and was a lab technician at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Pennsylvania, she went on to work at Woodhaven with Special Needs children and adults. In 1986, she moved to Greensboro NC and ended her career working for Sears.
Mrs. Robinson's love for God led her to going to church where she was a member of Cathedral of His Glory for many years, teaching Sunday School and spreading the word of God. She also enjoyed traveling, and taking cruises with friends and family. One of the last cruises she went on was with her good friends of over 40 years Alberta who she also worked with at Woodhaven and James Williams. Her last trip was to London, England for two weeks to spend time with good friends who also felt like family to her.
After her knee replacement in 2017, she went to rehab and struggled with recovery. Several years later, she was moved to Parkwood Village Assisted Living Facility near her daughter in Wilson, NC where she spent her last days.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Paul Robinson and her siblings, Jean Marie Wallace, Colon Dewitt Boyce, and Carolyn Virgina Scales. Those left to remember her fondly in their hearts are her husband, of 61 years, Wendell Wilkie Robinson; children, Kyle Torbin Robinson (Tiffany) of Escondito, CA, Shawn Robinson of Raleigh, NC , and Lesley Robinson Barnes (Antonio) of Wilson, NC; grandchildren, Mark, Tyler, Eric, Zion, Amara, Naariah, Ezra, and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
