Patricia "Pat" Finney Anderson

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel at 3:00 pm with Rick Trautman officiating. Family visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Pat was born in Akron, OH to the late Clyde and Patricia Finney. She was raised by her Aunt, Harriet "Lois" Finney, in whom she admired dearly. Pat's children embraced Lois as the primary person who offered guidance over her entire lifetime. Pat's quiet faith in God, through the person of Jesus Christ, provided the ultimate guidance for the way she lived and expressed her love to her family. She attended Akron University in Ohio. She worked for Guilford County Child Support Enforcement as a supervisor and retired from Guilford County Department of Social Services.

Pat loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her family beach trips to Pirateland Family Camping Resort. She also enjoyed painting ceramics, cross stitching, reading and watching tennis.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Gary (Jan) Anderson of Tucson, AZ, Ken (Caroline) Anderson of Greensboro, Jeff Anderson of Wilmington, Sandi (Paul) Stanfield of Greensboro, Kim Anderson of Greensboro, and Mike Anderson of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Colby (Allyson) Anderson, Kelsi (Steve) Somers, Siera Anderson, Brianne Anderson, Brooke (Josh) Delgado, Connor Anderson, Katharine Anderson, David Anderson, Rachel Anderson, Ashley Stanfield, Megan Stanfield, Jake Stanfield, Johnathan Anderson and Julee Anderson; great grandchildren, Jace Anderson, Skye Anderson, Noah Somers, Jacob Delgado and Evelyn Delgado.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cornerstone Charter Academy, 2535 New Garden Road East, Greensboro, NC 27455; Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Rd Greensboro, NC 27410; or to the Alzheimers Association, 4615 Dundas Drive Greensboro, NC 27407 in memory of Patricia Anderson.
