She was born December 13, 1950 to James and Pauline Jarrett in Greensboro. She had two siblings, Jerry Jarrett and Patricia Turner, both of Greensboro. She has been married to Ken Adkins for 35 years and was Vice President, Treasurer and Partner of Adkins & Associates, an Executive Search Firm for the Fashion Industry in Greensboro. She trained many people who have gone on to successful careers in this profession.
Nancy is survived by her husband and four children, Rena Hamilton of Stoneville, Tracey Hinson of Greensboro, Haylee Grill of Greensboro and Patty Lane Adkins of the home. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kalyn Hamilton, Alyssa Hamilton, Tanner Hinson, Tristan Hinson, Sarah Mozingo and Ava Grill, her mother Pauline Jarrett and her sister Patricia Turner, her two puppies, Carly and Simon and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Jarrett and her brother, Jerry Jarrett.
There will be a family visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2011 and a memorial service on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Beacon Place, 2502 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405. God said; Believe in me, don’t sweat the small stuff and I’ve got you covered. Nancy is covered.
