Mozelle Wright

A private graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mozelle was born December 12, 1921, in Low Gap, NC, daughter of the late Lemuel and Etta Cockerham. She was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.

Affectionately known as Gmaw, and Granny Mo Mo by her grandchildren, they will miss her cherry cheesecakes and her incredibly sassy personality. She taught them to speak their minds and to be strong and independent. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, various church activities and loved McDonald’s cheeseburgers and donuts.

In addition to her parents, Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson Wright, Sr. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jack Wright, Jr. (Judith), Mike Wright (Carol), Pat Portis, Peg Spurlin (Richard); brother, Jim Cockerham; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mozelle’s memory to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, 1415 Neelley Road, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
