The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, February, 4, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro, to celebrate Michael’s life.
Michael was born in Greensboro on December 4, 1952 to the late Dalmer Ray Moore and Alma Cook Moore. He was a 1971 graduate of Ben L. Smith High School and had a degree in Construction Management. Michael was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at water’s edge with a rod and reel in hand. As a life-long musician he loved picking guitar with his buddies and enjoyed watching football with family and friends. In his spare time he also liked researching his family’s history and ancestry. Above anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Hampton Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory include his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Andrea Moore; his son, John Moore and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Moore; granddaughter, Emily Moore; brother, Curtis Moore; sister-in-law, Roxanne Moore; and other extended family and friends.
