Michael was born April 9th, 1989 to Dennis and Joan Finnegan. He was born in Bayside, New York and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1995 with his family.
He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, Page High School, and UNC Asheville where he studied meteorology. He had a love for weather, he enjoyed hiking, and exploring and anything involving the outdoors. Michael had a special love for animals, nature and all sports. His favorite teams were the UNC Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his two nephews, who he adored more than anything. He was so kind and had the biggest heart, and anyone who got to know him, knew just how smart and funny he was. Those who got to know him really well knew that he had magic fingers and gave the best massages.
Michael is survived by his father Dennis Finnegan, his two older sisters, Lindsay Finnegan, and Lauren Harris (Taite) and his nephews Beckham and Maddox. Michael was reunited with his loving mother, Joan Grant Finnegan, who preceded him in death, along with his maternal and paternal grandparents.
