2021. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Paulene Hohn; brother, Reuben;
Sisters, Marjorie, Ruby Lee, and Hilda; and daughter, Lisa.
He is survived by his wife Betty; sons, Von (Teresa) and Terry (Cathy); grandsons, Aaron, Josh
(Taylor), Christian (Erin), and Jesse (Allie); granddaughters, Stephanie (Justin) and Whitney
(Will); and great-grandchildren,Caitlyn and Carrington Miller, Lennon and Lundy Hohn, Taya and Alaya Hohn, and Thomas Brown.
After serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army, Max returned to North Carolina. He
would go on to find his two life passions; his family and his excavation business. Max would
drive his red dump truck for 65 years before retiring. Max was happiest when working with his
hands, tinkering on his tractor, or driving his beloved 1948 Ford. He was a faithful member of Christ Wesleyan Church, serving as an usher for many years. His faith was a guiding light in his life. Max shared his testimony as often as he could and was deeply moved by worship. His family is a testament to his faith in the Lord and his love for others.
Visitation will be held at Christ Wesleyan Church, 2400 S. Holden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407
on Thursday, December 16th at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols.
