Mary Primics, 103, passed away peacefully on June 14 after several years of Alzheimer's. She was born September 7, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of Charles and Mary Ruschak. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Primics; son, John; her parents; sister; two brothers; a niece, nephew, and great-granddaughter.
Survivors are her daughter, Rosemarie (husband, Ralph); daughter-in-law, Frances; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces.
Mary was a quiet, reserved person who spent most of her life as a wife, mother and homemaker, who survived both the 1918 influenza pandemic and the current COVID-19 pandemic. During World War II, when her husband was drafted, she worked in a sewing factory in New York. Prior to her husband's death, they retired to Florida. For the last 18 years, she has lived in North Carolina.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church in Thomasville, between 10:30 and 11:30 AM, followed by the funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park on West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro.
