Mary dedicated her life to helping others, serving as a paralegal and a successful Aflac salesperson. She was known not only for her professional skills but also for her kindness and compassion. A loving mother, she is survived by her son, Frank Matlock II, who carries on her legacy of generosity.
An animal lover at heart, Mary had a special affinity for cats. Her home was a sanctuary for many furry friends, and she often went out of her way to lend a helping hand to those in need. Friends and family will remember her unwavering support and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Mary's spirit will be missed by all who knew her, but her kindness and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A private memorial service will be held graveside on Monday, September 30th at 10:00AM at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of the Piedmont.
