Mary Apple Hutchinson

Mrs. Mary Edna Apple Hutchinson, 78, a resident of Greensboro died suddenly Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Wesley Long Hospital. Mrs. Hutchinson was born December 27, 1935 in Guilford County a daughter of Roy Cleveland and Sallie Boone Apple. She was a graduate of Gibsonville High School and attended Woman’s College, now UNC-G. She was employed with Bank of America for 40 years before retiring. Mary was a former volunteer with the High Point Regional Hospital. She was a member of Greensboro Christian Church.

Mary was married to Jack Ray Hutchinson who preceded her in death on November 13, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen A. Frost and three brothers, Leroy, Roscoe and Ottis Apple.

Surviving is one daughter, Sherry Hutchinson of the home; one sister, Evelyn A. Wall of Gibsonville; several nieces and nephews and her many beloved pets.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Preacher Les Croft and Preacher Jim Reid. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
