Mary Brown Cox, age 82, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Mary was born in Green County, Tennessee on April 14, 1942, daughter of the late Charles Brown and Myrtle Swatzell Brown.Mary was fun, loving and a joy to be around. She enjoyed working in her flowers and fishing with her husband Carmie. They were members of Tarheel Striper Club and participated in many striper fishing tournaments in the South.
She is survived by her loving husband Carmie Cox, brother Junnie Brown, daughters; Judy Frye and Tammy Cason, sons; James Edward Cline and David Cox and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8,2024 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27407 with Interment following in Guilford Memorial Park.
