Marissa Michelle Nowlin

Marissa Michelle Nowlin, 29, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday July 5, 2020. She was born February 20, 1991 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Barnes Ivory Nowlin, Jr. and Tonya Ross Nowlin.

Marissa was a very loving child and young adult that worked hard. She attended MTSU and later attended University of Phoenix for her BS in Psychology. She received her certification and was a Dental Assistance at Chamoy Dental for over three years before moving to High Point NC, at the end of her journey with us she was working at Conduit Global.

Marissa was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by twin sons, Michael and Jeremiah Nowlin age 9 and Gabrielle Sosoo age 4; daughters, Danielle Sosoo age 5, Aliyana Sosso age 7; mother and step-father, Mrs. Tonya Ross-Riley and E. Kirk Riley of Greensboro; maternal grandparents, Mrs. Emily Jukes and the Honorable James Jukes of Orange, NJ; her paternal grandparents, Barnes Ivory Nowlin and his wife Mrs. Irene Nowlin of Patrick Springs, VA; her sisters, Emily Ross II of Thomasville, Tonya Little and husband Randy Little of High Point; her brothers, Barnes Ivory Nowlin, III and wife LaShonda Nowlin of Thomasville, Joel Lucas, II of Murfreesboro; several aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Marissa loved God first, family and friends; she will be sorely missed by all.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 18, 2020 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27407
