Louise Byrd Hines

A 12pm service will be held at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, Greensboro NC on January 6, 2018. A reception will be held following the service.

Louise was 96 years old. She married Charlie Hines in Wilmington, NC four weeks before Pearl Harbor after which Charlie joined the Army spending four years overseas during World War II. Their first child was born during this period.

Louise was an avid golfer winning several club championships. She also enjoyed playing the piano and needlecraft. She and Charlie were charter members of Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, NC. They took many golfing vacations to places such as Scotland and Hawaii.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Charlie Hines. Louise is survived by her three children Janet Hines White, Andy Hines and Nancy Hines Conway. In addition to her three children, she is survived by her 5 grandchildren, Mary Marshall Crowson, Leslie Heath Pruitt, Nathan Hobbs, Zeke Hines, and Helen Simone Howard. She also is survived by 7 great grandchildren.
