Janet Cecilia O'Hara

Janet Cecilia Pearl O’Hara, 89, a former resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday January 17, 2021 at the New Hanover House in Wilmington. She was born June 16, 1931 in Summit County, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Madge Essig Pearl.

While living in Greensboro she was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Janet was married to Francis “Frank” Xavier O’Hara who preceded her in death on February 23, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Anne Marie O’Hara and Loretta Marie O’Hara Swartz and her two brothers, Donald and John Pearl.

She is survived by her son, Francis “Frank” Xavier O’Hara II and wife Kimberly of Wilmington; their two children, Autumn O’Hara Harder and husband Eric, Ashley O’Connor and husband Ryan; and grandchildren, Kyleigh O’Connor, Emerson Harder, Jameson Harder; Loretta’s husband, Dave Swartz; their two children, David Michael Swartz and wife Robin, Bryan Swartz and wife Amy and grandchildren, Rebecca Swartz, Alexa Swartz, Devon Swartz and Nicholas Swartz.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
