passed away on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at his home on the farm.
He is the son of James “Jim” Gardner Sr. and Milred Gardner (Jenkins) of Greensboro. Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine “Kit” Gardner and his father, Jim. He is survived by his mother, Mille, and
girlfriend, Kathy of Mebane, his three loving children Kaylee, Kenzie (Noah), and Matthew
(Abby) Gardner all of Myrtle Beach, SC, two siblings, Steve Gardner of Strawberry Plains, TN
and Jeana Kennedy of Concord, NC., two grandsons, Ryder and Cole, and seven nieces and
nephews Jamie (Chad and Lenny), Michael, Nikki, Lindsey, Stacy, Lisa, and Mike.
Mark enjoyed spending time on his porch or sitting next to a fire listening to music with
family and friends. In his youth, he was a star baseball player for W. H. Page High School. He
continued to love playing ball, golf, and being outdoors. Most would remember him for his kind,
hardworking, and outgoing personality, and his dedication to those he loved.
A service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at Hanes Lineberry
Funeral Home on Elm Street in Greensboro, NC. Following the service, Mark will be laid to rest
