James David Chandler

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel (located at the same address) one hour prior to the graveside service from 10:00 until 10:50 am.

David was born in Concord, NC, to James & Sylvia Chandler on April 8, 1957. He graduated from Smith High School, Greensboro NC, in 1975. David joined the Air Force and served from 1976 to 1979. He graduated from Campbell University in 1985 with a BA in church music and was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. He worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for 12 years and retired in 2013.

On December 29, 2007, David married Kelly Jarrell Chandler, his beloved and devoted wife. He is survived by his wife and his children, Anthony David & Kimberly Elizabeth of Goldsboro, NC; grandsons, Zechariah & Joshua; granddaughter, Isabella.

David was the oldest of four sons: Michael (David); Rick (Michelle); and Ron (Meredith). Also, his sister-in-law, Karen Power (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; Nephew, Zak (Mahalia); Nieces, Morgan, Macie, Carly & Chloe.
